The content of the programme, delivered over 1 year (2 years part-time), includes subjects pertinent to the practice of Construction Project Management professionals. The programme’s focus is strongly oriented towards Project Management Practice, including Law, ICT, Construction Project Control, Economics alongside an Individual Research Project.
Learners will complete 6 core modules (45 credits) alongside Individual Research Project (15 credits). The core (mandatory) modules are;

Who Should Apply?
This programme has been designed to upskill construction professionals and provides technically trained personnel to work in a number of areas within the construction sector including: Project Management, Construction Management, Facility Management, Property Management, Consultants within both public and private sector. Construction Managers have many responsibilities including: Project Planning, Resource Allocation, Staff Management, Setting Bench-marks alongside Budget Management. Students will study topics which are essential to the everyday life of the professional construction project manager.

This B.Sc. (Hons) in Construction Project Management is a one-year full time (two year- part time) programme developed in partnership with industry in response to shortage of qualified Construction Project Managers. It is anticipated that this course will be CIOB accredited.
In the case of part time attendance the course takes place over 2 academic years. Learners will be expected to attend DkIT one day per week. Timetable for Semester 1, Year 1 is attendance all-day Fridays 9.00am-6.00pm.
Also you should be aware that it may be necessary to attend for 3 full days in January prior to recommencement of normal classes and 3 full days during the Easter break in order to facilitate/deliver in some of the modules.
Induction Day: Friday 15th September.
Classes commence: Friday 22th September (subject to change).
For entry to the programme, applicants should have successfully completed a Level 7 Bachelor of Science in a cognate area such as Construction Technology or Construction Management (obtaining 50% average) or equivalent. DkIT also recognises prior learning experience for candidates who may not meet normal entry requirements.
Total course fee: €4,500.00
€2,250.00 per annum (payable in two instalments of €1,125.00 each).
Instalment 1 is payable when accepting your place on the course.
Instalment 2 is payable prior to commencement of Semester 2 in January 2018.
