Who Should Apply?
The BBS is a broad Business and Management programme that explores subjects essential to contemporary business. Thus, the programme will be of interest to practicing managers, administrators or those aspiring to a management role in the future, in both the public and private sectors.
This programme will be delivered using traditional lectures and workshops as well as blended learning approached. Hence, a considerable amount of independent and self-directed learning will be involved, with learning and assessment material made available via the Institute’s virtual learning platform ‘Moodle’. Assessment methods will comprise a combination of formal exams, course work and case study. Examinations will be held at the end of each semester in January and May.

Classes are held over two evenings (6.30-9.30pm) per week (Mondays and Wednesdays) plus FOUR Saturdays per semester.

Applicants should have at least one year’s work experience plus Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) with pass grades in five subjects including English and Maths, with at least Grade C3 in two higher level papers, and at least a Grade D3 in four others.
If you have reached 23 years of age by 31st October of the year in which you wish to commence the course, but do not possess the minimum education requirements, you may still apply to register for the Degree. The Institute will consider such applications on a case-by-case basis.
International part-time applicants with English language standard IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent) are also welcome.
Course fee is €2,800 per year. The fee is payable in 3 instalments as follows:
- Instalment 1: €200 is payable upon application (This is fully refundable if you are not confirmed with an offer of a course place).
- Instalment 2: €1,200 is payable to confirm your acceptance of a course place.
- Instalment 3: €1,400 is payable at the start of Semester 2 in January 2018.
